1) Who we are (Data Controller)
This website and the Project BS apps are operated by Project BS.
Contact: contact@bonson-web-solutions.com
Legal entity: Bonson Web Solutions
Address: 59100 Roubaix, France
If we appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) in the future, we will provide their contact details here.
2) Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data when you:
- Visit our website (the “Website”)
- Use our mobile apps published under Project BS (the “Apps”)
- Contact us by email
3) What data we process
3.1 Website
We aim to keep the Website lightweight and privacy-friendly. Depending on how you use the Website, we may process:
- Technical and log data (e.g., IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and error information) to operate, secure, and debug the Website.
- Privacy-friendly analytics: if enabled, we may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand traffic in aggregate and improve the Website. We do not use advertising trackers.
- Preference storage: we may store a theme preference (e.g., dark/light mode) in local storage on your device.
3.2 Email communications
If you email us, we will process the information you send (e.g., your email address and message content) to respond and provide support.
3.3 Apps
Our Apps are designed to work offline and store data locally on your device. We do not build advertising profiles and do not integrate third-party trackers. App data typically includes user content you create inside the app (for example: histories, presets, reminders, records, notes), stored locally.
Some Apps may optionally access external services to provide a feature (for example, fetching currency exchange rates). When this happens, your device connects directly to that service and the service provider may receive technical data such as your IP address and request metadata. We do not receive your private content from those services.
Payments (where applicable) are handled by the app store provider (e.g., Google Play), which processes purchase and billing information under its own policies.
4) Legal bases
We process personal data only when we have a valid legal basis, including:
- Legitimate interests (e.g., operating, securing, and improving the Website; preventing abuse; measuring aggregate performance).
- Contract (e.g., responding to your support request or providing services you request).
- Legal obligations (if applicable).
5) Data retention
- Website logs: retained for a short period to operate and debug the service.
- Analytics: processed in aggregate for performance/usage insights (if enabled).
- Email: kept as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted or archived according to operational needs and legal obligations.
- Apps: local data remains on your device until you delete it (e.g., clearing app data or uninstalling the app).
6) Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal data. We may rely on service providers (“processors”) to operate the Website and deliver the Apps:
- Hosting & infrastructure: our hosting provider(s) process technical data to deliver the Website.
- App stores & payments: Google Play (distribution and purchases, where applicable).
- Email delivery: email providers process emails to deliver messages.
7) International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) and vendor compliance measures.
8) Your rights (GDPR)
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Request deletion (erasure)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability (in certain cases)
- Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)
- Complain to your local supervisory authority
To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@bonson-web-solutions.com.
9) Cookies and similar technologies
We do not use advertising cookies on the Website. We may use essential storage (e.g., theme preference) to keep the site usable and consistent. You can typically clear this via your browser settings.
10) Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we aim to minimize collection and reduce risk by design.
11) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or improvements. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
